GAME WEEK 8 PREVIEWS AND PREDICTIONS

WATFORD vs LIVERPOOL

Liverpool will still remember the pain Watford inflicted when they last went to Vicarage road. The Hornets will face Liverpool with their new boss Claudio Ranieri in the dugout. Liverpool could be without Jota, Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino for this clash. That might give the Vicarage faithful some hope of another huge upset.

ONE TO WATCH: MO SALAH

PREDICTION: 0-3

ASTON VILLA vs WOLVES

Both sides have struggled to find consistency so far this season. They have both shown what they are capable of, but have also showed some frailties. Villa were defeated by Spurs in their last game whilst Wolves are looking to make it 3 wins on the trot. This game certainly has the potential to deliver, especially if both teams are firing on all cylinders.

ONE TO WATCH: HWANG HEE-CHAN

PREDICTION: 1-2

LEICESTER vs MANCHESTER UNITED

United were far from their best against Villa and Everton. The fans will be hoping that their golden boy Ronaldo will start this match. Leicester are winless in their last 4 league matches. Brendan Rodgers will need to spark some life into his players if they are to compete for European places this season.

ONE TO WATCH: CRISTIANO RONALDO

PREDICTION: 0-2

MANCHESTER CITY vs BURNLEY

When you see this fixture coming up you prepare yourself for Man City to have about 95% possession as they always do against Burnley. They have scored 16 goals in their last 4 league games against the Clarets. Burnley are yet to win a game this season. Surely that won’t be changing this weekend?

ONE TO WATCH: KEVIN DE BRUYNE

PREDICTION: 3-0

NORWICH vs BRIGHTON

Norwich finally picked up their first points of the season in a 0-0 draw with Burnley in their last match. The Seagulls also played out a 0-0 stalemate against Arsenal in their last game and they would have felt that they deserved more from the game. This is certainly not the first fixture that you notice, but as we always get reminded, every Premier League game is a good one.

ONE TO WATCH: MARC CUCURELLA

PREDICTION: 0-1

SOUTHAMPTON vs LEEDS

Leeds had the upper hand in this fixture last season, but they have not quite hit the same heights as the previous campaign. The Saints are also yet to pick up 3 points this season and theire lack of goals should be a concern for Ralph Hasenhüttl. They will be without Captain James Ward-Prowse for this encounter as he is out due to suspension.

ONE TO WATCH: DANIEL JAMES

PREDICTION: 1-2

BRENTFORD vs CHELSEA

This game has huge potential to deliver a blockbuster. Brentford snatched a late win against West Ham in their last match. Chelsea were far from convincing against Southampton last time out, but as with any top side they managed to get all 3 points. Can the Bees write yet another chapter in their fairy tale return to top flight football?

ONE TO WATCH: BRYAN MBEUMO

PREDICTION: 2-2

EVERTON vs WEST HAM

This has been quite a close affair over the last couple of seasons with minimal goals scored as well, but with both teams at the top of their games this could be a great game to watch for the neutrals. Both are challenging for the European places this season and this could be a big step in the right direction to win this game.

ONE TO WATCH: ANDROS TOWNSEND

PREDICTION: 2-1

NEWCASTLE vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

A lot has happened for Newcastle since they last played a league game. They are now the richest football club in the world. That is thanks to their new owners. Both sides have been underwhelming so far this season. Spurs finally won again against Aston Villa in their last game. Can they start to pick up some form again or will the Magpies celebrate their new takeover in spectacular fashion?

ONE TO WATCH: HARRY KANE PREDICTION: 0-2

ARSENAL vs CRYSTAL PALACE

This is most certainly not an easy game for Arsenal. Palace showed a lot of character in coming back from 2 behind against Leicester to draw 2-2. Arsenal were fortunate to not concede against Brighton in their last game. At least we finally now what the Gunners are all about and they are actually not that bad. Let’s hope that they can continue to impress.

ONE TO WATCH: BUKAYO SAKA PREDICTION: 2-1

WHO SHOULD YOUR FANTASY CAPTAIN BE?

MO SALAH

Is there a better player in world football at this current moment? I highly doubt that. Salah has gone from strength to strength so far this season and in a league filled with superstars Salah is shining the brightest. Away to Watford this week, surely another couple of goals and maybe a assist?

FUN FACT

Only 3 players born after the start of the Premier League (August 1992) have scored Premier League hat-tricks: Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku.
