GAME WEEK 7 PREVIEWS AND PREDICTIONS
MANCHESTER UNITED VS EVERTON
United were shocked by Villa in their last league game. They narrowly scraped past Villarreal in their Champions League match midweek. Everton put in a solid display against Norwich and they will be surely fancy their chances against a vulnerable and unstable United team.
ONE TO WATCH: BRUNO FERNANDES
PREDICTION: 2-1
BURNLEY VS NORWICH
Burnley were impressive against Leicester last time out. Sean Dyche will be hoping that his side will continue to portray the same fighting spirit in all their games. Norwich are the only team in the league without any points yet. They are shipping goals for fun, but can’t score themselves. Surely they need to start winning somewhere?
ONE TO WATCH: MAXWEL CORNET
PREDICTION: 1-0
CHELSEA VS SOUTHAMPTON
The blues were disappointing against City and they followed that up with another poor display against Juventus midweek. Tuchel needs his players to regain their focus and start winning again. Southampton absolutely dominated Wolves in their last game, but ended up leaving without a single point. Lukaku will be hoping to find the back of the net again, because his golden boot rivals are all flying at the moment.
ONE TO WATCH: ROMELU LUKAKU PREDICTION: 3-1
LEEDS VS WATFORD
Watford have most certainly impressed thus far this season, but the same can’t be said of Leeds. They are yet to win this season. Patrick Bamford has been quite disappointing this season and he will be looking to find some form. Sarr is tearing it up for Watford. What a young player he is turning out to be!
ONE TO WATCH: ISMAILA SARR
PREDICTION: 2-2
WOLVES VS NEWCASTLE
Wolves will be buzzing after Raul Jiménez finally scored again. They have been very inconsistent so far, but now that Jiménez is scoring they will look to become the Wolves of old. Newcastle have been far from disappointing but they will need to start winning games if they are to stay up this season.
ONE TO WATCH: RAUL JIMÉNEZ PREDICTION: 2-1
BRIGHTON VS ARSENAL
Graham Potter has certainly done something right at Brighton. They are 6 in the league but level on points with second place Man City. They will certainly want to keep up this momentum. I’m very impressed with Arsenal. The way that they have turned their season around in the space of 3 games is miraculous. Arteta has finally found his strongest 11 and without European football to focus on, they might be a dark horse for the Champions League spots.
ONE TO WATCH: PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG PREDICTION: 0-2
CRYSTAL PALACE VS LEICESTER
This is a great game to look forward to! Both teams will go for the jugular as they will be fancying their chances of bagging all 3 points. Palace played well against Brighton and might feel that they could have won the game. Leicester have been underwhelming so far this season. Vardy is scoring goals but they are not as defensively strong as previous seasons.
ONE TO WATCH: JORDAN AYEW PREDICTION: 1-0
TOTTENHAM VS ASTON VILLA
Spurs were sent back home with their tails between their legs after being dispatched by Arsenal in the North-London Derby. Villa on the other hand have just defeated United in their back yard. Spurs need to sort some things out if they are to finish in the top 6 this season. Villa just need to keep doing what they are doing if they want to play European football next season.
ONE TO WATCH: OLLIE WATKINS PREDICTION: 1-3
WEST HAM VS BRENTFORD
Antonio snatched a last minute win for the Hammers against Leeds in their last match. Brentford were impressive against Liverpool as they took a point from an exhilarating match. This match is very well balanced and could go either way. Is Ivan Toney ready to become a match winner?
ONE TO WATCH: IVAN TONEY
PREDICTION: 2-2
LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER CITY
Its 1st versus second in this heavily anticipated encounter. It is one of the biggest modern day rivalries. Liverpool blew Porto away in their Champions League match, but City were put to the sword in Paris as Messi scored his first goal for the Parisian outfit. It is possibly the hardest encounter to predict as these two always deliver a high paced encounter. Mo Salah is flying high and could be the man to steal the show on Sunday in front of a packed Anfield.
ONE TO WATCH: MO SALAH PREDICTION: 2-1
WHO SHOULD YOUR FANTASY CAPTAIN BE THIS WEEK?
Lukaku has deliver blanks in his last 2 matches, but with the run of fixtures Chelsea have ahead, starting with a visit from Southampton, he should definitely be in your squad and wearing that captains armband.
FUN FACT
Two players have scored Premier League penalties with both feet. They are BOBBY ZAMORA and OBAFEMI MARTINS.
