GAME WEEK 20 PREVIEWS & PREDICTIONS
We’ve not even had time to catch our breath yet and it’s time for another round of fixtures. There were 27 goals scored on Boxing day between the 6 matches. Leicester and Man City were the standout fixture as they played out a 9 goal thriller. Arsenal were dominant in a 5-0 victory over Norwich and Southampton caused a minor upset by defeating West Ham 3-2 at the London Stadium. Chelsea completed a sensational turnaround at Villa park with Lukaku stealing the show of the bench.
There have already been 2 games postponed as Arsenal and Aston Villa will sit out of the midweek matches.
MATCH OF THE WEEK🎯
LEICESTER CITY VS LIVERPOOL
Leicester were outplayed in the first half against Manchester City at the weekend. Brendan Rodgers must have said something at the half time team talk because they came flying out of the blocks in the second half. Unfortunately it was to little to late for the foxes as they ended up losing 6-3. Liverpool had some time to rest and regroup after their clash versus Leeds got postponed. Klopp will be hoping that Van Dijk and Fabinho will return to the first team after they had to sit out against Spurs due to Covid-19. This game has the potential to be explosive and high paced if both sides bring their A game to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening.
ONE TO WATCH: TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD
PREDICTION: LEICESTER 1 - 3 LIVERPOOL
EASIEST 3 POINTS⚽️⚽️⚽️
BRENTFORD VS MANCHESTER CITY
The first Premier League clash between the Bees and Man City will take place at the Brentford Community Stadium and will most likely not disappoint on the score board. Ivan Toney’s return to the squad will spark some life into the Brentford side as they look to bounce back after a defeat to Brighton. City are waltzing through every game at the moment and are scoring for fun. They have scored 17 goals in their last 3 games. Raheem Sterling will be looking to add to his tally as he has scored 4 goals in his last 3 starts. On paper this should be a routine victory for City but we all know the Premier League is full of surprises.
ONE TO WATCH: KEVIN DE BRUYNE
PREDICTION: BRENTFORD 0 - 4 MANCHESTER CITY
POTENTIAL UPSET👀
CHELSEA VS BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
Chelsea had to show some fighting spirit as they came from behind to defeat Aston Villa by 3 goals to 1. Tuchel will have some mixed feelings after the game. Lukaku came of the bench to steal the show but Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah both left the field due to injuries. The Seagulls finally got back to winning ways as Neal Maupay netted a stunner against his old side Brentford to hand Brighton all three points. Chelsea should be able to claim all three points but Brighton surely know how to put on a game if they are in the mood.
ONE TO WATCH: ROMELU LUKAKU
PREDICTION: CHELSEA 2 - 0 BRIGHTON
WHO SHOULD YOUR FANTASY CAPTAIN BE?🌪
MO SALAH
Liverpool have had some time to rest after their fixture against Leeds was called due to Covid-19. They face a Leicester side who have had 48 hours to recover after being battered by Man City. Salah will be licking his lips at facing a Leicester defense who conceded 6 goals against City. A lot of fantasy managers sold Salah as he will be leaving for the African Cup of Nations but after a short rest he should torment the Leicester back line and definitely score a few goals.
