GAME WEEK 16 PREVIEWS & PREDICTIONS

BRENTFORD VS WATFORD

This is the first Premier League meeting between these two sides. Brentford played out a 2-2 draw with Leeds in their last game whilst Watford were defeated 3-1 at home by Manchester City. This should be a thrilling Friday evening encounter at the Brentford Community Stadium.

MANCHESTER CITY VS WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

City jumped above Chelsea with a 3-1 win away at Watford. They are the new leaders,but Liverpool and Chelsea are hot on their tails. Wolves put on a spirited display against Liverpool but it was unfortunately not enough. Death, taxes and late Divock Origi goals are the only certain things in life. If Wolves can replicate that performance they should be able to claim a point at the Etihad.

ARSENAL VS SOUTHAMPTON

Arsenal have lost their last 2 league games. They threw away a 1-0 lead as they lost 2-1 away at Everton. Southampton have also thrown away alot of points from winning positions. The Saints need to start managing their games if they are to make the most of every oppurtunity.

CHELSEA VS LEEDS UNITED

Chelsea suffered a shock defeat at the hands of West Ham in their last game. The title race is so close that the defeat saw them drop from first to third. They drew 3-3 against Zenit in the Champions League in midweek. Leeds played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Brentford in their last game. Marcelo Bielsa might sense that there is chance for his side to claim a result at Stamford Bridge.

LIVERPOOL VS ASTON VILLA

Liverpool snatched all 3 points away at Wolves in the 93rd minute thanks to a Divock Origi goal. Villa bounced back after defeat to Man City by claiming an impressive 2-1 at home to Leicester. All eyes will be on Steven Gerrard on his return to Anfield. Can the former Liverpool skipper lead his new team to a famous victory?

NORWICH CITY VS MANCHESTER UNITED

Norwich were blown away by Tottenham in their last game. It was Norwich’ first defeat under Dean Smith. United have won their last two league games and should be quite confident that they can make it three. It should be said however that they have a very poor record against newly promoted sides in the last couple of seasons.

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION VS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Brighton have drawn their last 3 games. If not for Neal Maupay they would have lost their last 2. Spurs are on a winning run of 3 in the league. They scored some spectacular goals against Norwich and ended up winning 3-0. Graham Potter will be looking to get his side back to winning ways this weekend, but Spurs might be just to strong for the Seagulls.

BURNLEY VS WEST HAM UNITED

Burnley lost a very tight encounter against Newcastle 1-0. They could break a new club record if they score 3 or more goals against the Hammers. West Ham were brilliant in making the most of every oppurtunity as they defeated Chelsea 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the London Stadium.

LEICESTER CITY VS NEWCASTLE UNITED

Leicester were a bit of the pace against Aston Villa in their last game as they lost 2-1. Brendan Rodgers will be severely disaapointed with his sides inconsistency this season. Their hopes of a top 6 finish is fading with every game. Newcastle claimed their first win of the season as they defeated Burnley 1-0. Eddie Howe will be hoping to make it back to back wins at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS EVERTON

After an impressive start to the season Palce have lost their last 3 games in a row. The goals have dried up a bit in the past weeks and Viera will be looking to find a solution as quick as possible. Everton finally won again as they came drom behind to defeat Arsenal 2-1 at Goodisom Park. Richarlison will be looking to add to his goal he scored against the Gunners.

MO SALAH

Salah has been a bit quite the past couple of weeks in terms of points returned, but he will surely not pass on the oppurtunity to impress Steven Gerrard. Salah scored in midweek in Milan and will definitely be looking to add to his tally of 20 goals for the season.
