GAME WEEK 10 PREVIEWS AND PREDICTIONS
Updated: Oct 30, 2021
LEICESTER VS ARSENAL
This is a great blockbuster clash to start of the weekend. This fixture has delivered some great historic moments in the Premier League. Both sides overcame strong opposition in their last games. Leicester saw off a resilient Brentford whilst the Gunners put on a superb first half display to dispatch Aston Villa. This game is balanced on a knifes edge and could go either way.
ONE TO WATCH: EMILE SMITH ROWE PREDICTION: 2-2
BURNLEY VS BRENTFORD
Burnley were able to claim a much deserved point in their last game against Southampton thanks to a brace from Maxwell Cornet. Brentford were not their usual boisterous self as they were defeated by Leicester. It should be no cause for concern though as we are still well aware of the quality that this side possesses. It should be enough to get them over the line at Turf Moor on Saturday.
ONE TO WATCH: BRYAN MBEUMO PREDICTION: 0-2
LIVERPOOL VS BRIGHTON
What a week it’s been for Liverpool. They ran riot in Manchester an inflicted a lot of pain by seeing United off 5-0. Its safe to say that Jürgen Klopp told his side to go for the jugular before kickoff. Brighton were flying high until a 4-1 defeat to Man City brought them back down to earth. They will be traveling to Anfield with little hope that they can overcome Liverpool on their own turf.
ONE TO WATCH: DIOGO JOTA PREDICTION: 2-0
MANCHESTER CITY VS CRYSTAL PALACE
City continued their solid run by seeing of Brighton with considerable ease in their last game. Palace will be very disappointed after they were only able to draw 1-1 against Newcastle in their last game. If they continue to perform as they are currently doing they won’t have to fear relegation come the end of the season. Maybe they will be able to pull of another glorious upset at the Etihad?
ONE TO WATCH: PHIL FODEN
PREDICTION: 3-1
NEWCASTLE VS CHELSEA
Newcastle are without a win so far this season. They were saved by the former Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson as he was able to produce a moment of pure magic to salvage a draw for the Magpies. Chelsea put 7 past Norwich without reply. Even though they are without the likes of Lukaku and Werner they are still leading the charge for the title this season.
ONE TO WATCH: REECE JAMES PREDICTION: 1-3
WATFORD VS SOUTHAMPTON
The Ranieri era finally got up and running has Watford hammered 5 past Everton in their last game. Josh King produced a magnificent performance to walk away with the match ball. Southampton were only able to muster a draw against Burnley in their last game. Their defense will need to tighten if they are to stay up this season.
ONE TO WATCH: JOSHUA KING
PREDICTION: 2-1
TOTTENHAM VS MANCHESTER UNITED
Tottenham were of the pace in their last game as they lost 1-0 to West Ham. United were slaughtered by Liverpool and especially Mo Salah. Some would be surprised to see that Ole is still in charge, but the board is still sticking with him, at least for now. Both sides will see this as a must win game. That could result in an open affair and an excellent game for the neutrals.
ONE TO WATCH: HARRY KANE
PREDICTION: 2-1
NORWICH VS LEEDS
Both sides are dwelling at the bottom of the standings. Leeds were saved by a late Rodrigo penalty as they drew 1-1 against Wolves on their last game. Norwich were obliterated by Chelsea as they lost 7-0. Daniel Farke’s side doesn’t know how to score goals and they can’t defend. How will they stay up this season? They most probably won’t.
ONE TO WATCH: RODRIGO
PREDICTION: 0-2
ASTON VILLA VS WEST HAM
This is most certainly one of the standout fixtures in an action packed game week. West Ham have dominated all of the last few meetings between these two sides. Villa have lost their last 3 in a row. We all know that they possess a lot of quality, but consistency is the key and that is what they are lacking.
ONE TO WATCH: JARROD BOWEN PREDICTION: 2-3
WOLVES VS EVERTON
Wolves were pegged back by a stoppage time penalty as they drew 1-1 against Leeds. Everton were humiliated by a Josh King masterclass in front of their home fans. This fixture has delivered quite a lot of goals in the past seasons and that might be the case yet again at Molineux stadium on Monday evening.
ONE TO WATCH: RICHARLISON
PREDICTION: 1-2
WHO SOULD YOUR FANTASY CAPTAIN BE?
The obvious choice is once again Mo Salah, but because millions will be backing the Egyptian this week it might be the perfect opportunity to take a risk with someone else in an attempt to climb the fantasy leaderboard. Phil Foden might be that differential this week. 2 Goals and 2 assists in his last 2 games. He might just be the one that can surpass Salah this week in terms of total points. It is a risk, but no risk no reward.
FUN FACT
Peter Crouch holds the record for the most headed goals in the history of the Premier League (40)
