CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PREVIEWS AND PREDICTIONS
It's time for our second round of first leg fixtures. Last week had some spectacular games and hopefully this week will only build on those games.
VILLARREAL VS JUVENTUS
This is definitely one of the standout fixtures of the week as the Old Lady travel to Villarreal. The Spanish outfit are currently 5th in La Liga and have won 4 out of their last 3 league games. Danjuma scored a hattrick against Grananda on the weekend and is definitely one to watch for the future.
Juve are 4the in Serie A and have drawn both their last 2 league games. They have struggled to get out of second gear this season but with Dusan Vlahovic in their ranks, now could be the perfect time to peak.
ONE TO WATCH: ARNAUT DANJUMA
PREDICTION: 2-1
CHELSEA VS LOSC LILLE
The Blues are the latest Club World Champions and are chasing back to back Champions Leagues. They were able to overcome Crystal Palace 1-0 thanks to a late Ziyech winner.
Chelsea and Lille both faced each other in the group stages of the 2019/20 edition. Chelsea won both ties 2-1.
Lille are struggling in Ligue 1. They are currently in 10th place and things are not looking to good. 2 wins from their last 5 league games leaves them 10 points adrift from a Champions League place.
Chelsea should be able to overcome Lille quite comfortably but the French side will be hoping that Jonathan David can lead them to a famous upset in London.

ATLÉTICO MADRID VS MANCHESTER UNITED
This is the main fixture from the 4 games and it's easy to see why. Two sides with rich history who have both been underwhelming domestically.
Atletico are in 4th place in La Liga but they have lots of pressure from beneath them with 4 teams icluding Barcelona chasing them down.
United are also in 4th place in the Premier League but their last couple of performances have been weel below par.
This could be a season changing game for both teams, but who will rise to the occasion?

BENFICA VS AJAX
It's Portugal vs Netherlands in this intriguing encounter. Both sides scored hoards of goals in the groups stages. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they can continue that form into this fixture.
Benfica are currently 3rd in the the Portugese league. They are still chasing down Sporting and Porto in a bid to qualify for next seasons competition.
Ajax have took control over the title race in the Eredivisie. They have not been short of goals this season, scoring 20 goals in their 6 group games. The Dutch side are a real force this season and could certainly go a long way in this seasons competition.
